Bailey Sarian is most popular for her Murder, Mystery, Makeup Mondays - but she does an amazing podcast series called Dark History. Posting the one most relevant to my content and that I've found interesting.

Codie Crowley is a woman of many talents. She has been a huge inspiration to me these past few months/year. Unapologetically the spooky chick. I can't get enough of her content. Also look for her novel out Aug 6th 2024!

Midwest Ghost Hunter captures some of the coolest evidence. Our household really enjoys watching paranormal investigations/videos and his are always amazing. Though, sometimes a little too good to always be true, it's still super entertaining.

Music is what kept me motivated during the revamping of my site. Love me some darkwave. Definitely has spooky, goth vibes. Music just does so much for me. Check out the playlists under "Music" link.

Over the Garden Wall is a whimsically, spooky cartoon mini-series of just 8 episodes. This video is the pilot. I highly recommend you search it out and have a watch. It's absolutely magical, and not what you'd think. There's a lot of vintage whimsy to a strange and magical story, but based in modern times.

When I posted my updated site, my cousin mentioned it gave her vibes from this show, So Weird (1999). I LOVED this show as a kid and as soon as I had Disney+ I rewatched some of it again. Think X-File for tweens. Still on Disney+, so check it out if you can. (I'm not affiliated with Disney in anyway!)

Around, 2010, I watched a show where Michio Kaku was talking about parallel universes existing and it quite literally blew my mind open. I had, up to this point, always been interested in the supernatural. I've had experiences growing up involving astral projection, ghosts/spirits, disembodied voices, premonitions, and so on. When I heard him talk about parallel universes, that introduced me into a new way of thinking. I started diving into energy work and possibility of ghosts on a scientific level. I don't claim to be smart in the way of science, but doesn't mean I can't find it fascinating. I'm very fact based in my thinking, I never jump to the conclusion that something is otherworldly until I've looked at it from all angles. Then I can say, "Hmm that was suspicious". All this to say, look into it for yourself. It is TRULY fascinating stuff when you link it with spiritual and supernatural work.

Are You Afraid of the Dark? was a childhood staple! Now I don't like to promote the network it was on, but this show was the best back in the day. I aspired to have a group of friends I could do this with - sit in the woods around a fire telling creepy stories in the dark. Sounded like the best time ever. These episodes I'm featuring are some of my faves. Check out the playlist for more.

Every year I'm in the top .05% of listeners on Spotify for Hozier. And you know... I just can't get enough of his lyrics and orchestration. He truly is an ethereal being sent to us. I hear so many say he's a forest god. I'd believe it. A masterful poet in lyrics and music. Anyways, if you've never heard of him or his music (are you living under a rock??), please take a listen! It truly is a spiritual experience.

Recently I had a memory of this show, MTV's FEAR. I used to watch this when I was a teenager. It's a bit darker and creepier, but what a ride! It's one of the first shows that experimented with ghost hunting in the early 2000s. It shows real people spending time doing dares and being alone in some of the most haunted places in America.

Magic isn't always in spells and charms. Magic is in art and creation. Nerdforge is a channel I find to be truly magical. Just seeing what humans are capable of with their minds and hands. It's absolutely inspiring to watch others create making beautiful masterpieces just because. A world without art is no world at all. The creators of this channel always inspire me even though I'm not making huge, elaborate works like these folks, it moves me to do SOMETHING. More than I would without any inspiration.

A very interesting documentary from 1999. A man in Canmore, AB, Canada had experienced a haunting in his home. Though he is a science based thinker, he decided to see if it was a neurological issue instead of an actual haunting. As I love paranormal topics, I love to see if it can be explained or "debunked". Personally, I like to see everything from as many angles as humanly possible. Give it a watch and see what you think! (TW: They do show an actual brain in the first half at one point.)
I finally watched the Blackwell Ghost parts one and two and plan on watching the rest. This documentary follows a film maker, Turner Clay, desperate to get into paranormal documentary. He gets in touch with a friend of a friend who invites him to experience his haunted house in Pennsylvania. It is so well done and as someone who says they have seen every paranormal video - this one gave me the chills! Real or fake it's interesting to watch. I've previewed the trailer and linked the free first part in the text above.
